Following the match between Newcastle and PSG, journalist Daniel Riolo strongly criticized PSG’s coach, Luis Enrique, and his stubbornness on RMC radio.

Luis Enrique refused to change the system. The 4-2-4 formation clearly wasn’t working against Newcastle, but the PSG coach didn’t make any adjustments. He even substituted Kolo Muani with Barcola, resulting in a 4-1 defeat. For Daniel Riolo, this represents a major failure on the part of the coach.

He remarked, “Against Marseille, he innovated. He played the inventor, and it worked. It’s Marseille, okay. An occasional fancy move, why not? But did anyone seriously think he would stick with this approach? That it would extend beyond a one-time thing?”

“In any case, it makes no sense. No one could have imagined he would continue like this. What team in Europe plays this way? This system is miserable; it’s awful. No one plays like this,” Daniel Riolo declared on RMC.
