Marquinhos clashed with Dembélé during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night (1-0): the captain explains.
In the 52nd minute of the match, Marquinhos expressed frustration with Ousmane Dembélé, whom he deemed guilty of taking a corner too quickly. After the match, the Brazilian defender addressed this tense incident in an interview with Canal+.
“These are things we work on. It was a technical flaw. That’s why we defenders push up. It’s difficult for us to recover afterwards. We really need everyone to push up, the team is a bit disorganized. We need to be careful. That’s all I said.”
“I gave him a pass, it’s not my fault if he (Fabian Ruiz) missed the control,” Dembélé said during the match.
