As Mbappé stepped off the bus in Nantes, he appeared visibly irritated, displaying a gesture of frustration. Why? Because he had just learned that he would not be starting for the Nantes-PSG game. Was this a punishment following his decision to leave the club?
Luis Enrique confirmed otherwise. “If we want to compete for all titles, which is our objective, it’s essential that all players are involved,” stated the coach after the match.
The anger was palpable, but things improved after the game. Scoring a penalty goal after coming on as a substitute, Mbappé seemed to relax and was all smiles… with his coach Luis Enrique. So, no tension remained.
