According to investigative journalist Romain Molina, the relationship between PSG and Kylian Mbappé has soured significantly.
There seems to be internal strife between Mbappé’s camp and the PSG management, despite outward appearances of harmony. This discord has intensified notably since Mbappé announced his decision to join Real Madrid. This perspective comes directly from Romain Molina, the investigative journalist.
Molina stated in an interview with Colinterview, “The two parties detest each other, it has been going on for years. There are people within the club who harbor animosity towards the Mbappé family, especially the mother, who holds a lot of resentment towards the Parisian management.”
He continued, “As a small anecdote, when Mbappé went to meet the PSG president to explain his decision not to extend his contract in January, everything was leaked to the press. Mbappé’s mother called the club demanding to know who had leaked the information, accusing them of having a mole. On the other hand, particularly during the contract extension negotiations in 2022, tensions were running high. Unconventional methods were employed. There is distrust on both sides, they simply do not like each other.”
