PSG is strongly considering leaving the Parc des Princes: three sites have been selected for the construction of the new stadium, according to Le Parisien.

PSG is set to leave the Parc des Princes. What was initially considered a Plan B is now increasingly becoming Plan A, given the deadlock with the Paris City Hall, which refuses to sell the venue. According to Le Parisien, there is a flurry of activity within the club. “Meetings are multiplying with Legends Hospitality, a real estate specialized firm, and Arctos, the new shareholder. Representatives of the American fund are fully engaged in this highly strategic issue in their eyes.”

President Nasser al-Khelaïfi is reportedly at the center of discussions. “When he speaks to his teams, NAK talks about a ‘new destination,’ a ‘customer experience’ of a new kind that would quickly make people forget that PSG has moved away from the Eiffel Tower. This project for a 70,000-seat stadium must progress with the utmost confidentiality.”

The PSG president is particularly concerned that the club may fall behind Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, or even Newcastle.

The contenders in the running to host PSG’s new stadium are Montigny-le-Bretonneux, Aulnay-sous-Bois, and Gonesse. However, some proposals have already been excluded from the dossier, including Joinville and Ris Orangis/Bondoufle. As for rumors, several names are circulating, including Poissy, Rueil-Malmaison, and Châteaudun.
