Robert Lewandowski, the FC Barcelona striker, is confident after the quarter-final draw and the upcoming clash with PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain will face FC Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals on April 10 and 16. Asked about the upcoming matches, FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, aged 35 and with 3 goals in 7 Champions League matches this season, expressed his optimism about the announced showdown.

“I am sure we will play better than in the two matches against Naples in the round of 16 (1-1, 3-1), and we will reach the semi-finals,” the Polish player said to TV3. The match is already underway!

“It’s 50-50”

Rafa Yuste, Barcelona’s vice-president, was more cautious. “No one is the favorite, it’s 50-50. We have a lot of respect for this opponent. We will play with determination and a lot of desire,” he said before continuing. “PSG is a great team with a great coach whom we know well because he is a friend. It’s a team of world-class level. We will have two spectacular matches given the form of PSG and Barça.”

Rafa Yuste also mentioned the reunion with Luis Enrique, former Barcelona player… and Catalan coach during the comeback in 2017. “He is a friend and a great person. He has the Barça DNA, he has won many titles with us. He is a great coach, he knows everything about us, and I say hello to him,” he joked, being careful. This could be an advantage. “Life is made of little secrets that we will not reveal (laughs).”
