According to English journalist Ben Jacobs, Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães, 26, who currently plays for Newcastle United (contract until 2028 with a release clause of 117 million euros until June 30), is unlikely to sign for Paris Saint-Germain.

Jacobs asserts that PSG has no plans to attempt to recruit the Brazilian international this summer.

“After finalizing and formalizing Kylian Mbappe’s exit conditions, PSG will have a busy summer. Instead of spending all of its freed-up budget on a like-for-like replacement, PSG is expected to continue its youth-led project by adding a forward, a winger, a central midfielder, and a center-back. Victor Osimhen from Napoli remains a name to watch,” the source explains.

“Understand that PSG is no longer in the plans for Bruno Guimarães. There is no plan to trigger his release clause or negotiate with Newcastle. Bernardo Silva remains a target.”
