Liverpool are accelerating their efforts to sign Yan Diomandé. Despite the recent arrival of Spanish winger Victor Muñoz, the Reds have not abandoned their top attacking target and are determined to make a move for the RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast international.
The race for Diomandé appears to be turning in Liverpool’s favor. According to The Athletic, the Premier League club has informed RB Leipzig of its intention to submit an offer worth up to €100 million, including bonuses, in an attempt to convince the German side to part ways with their 19-year-old star.
Liverpool Pushes Ahead for Diomandé
After scoring 12 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances this season, Diomandé has established himself as one of the brightest young talents in European football. However, RB Leipzig has no intention of opening the door to a transfer and remains determined to keep the winger for next season.
That stance could complicate Liverpool’s plans, but also those of Paris Saint-Germain. The French champions continue to monitor the situation closely and remain attentive to any developments, although Liverpool currently appears to be in pole position to secure the highly rated Ivorian prospect.
For PSG, the growing interest from Liverpool is increasing the pressure. Unless the situation changes dramatically, the Reds seem best placed at the moment to launch a serious bid and test Leipzig’s resolve in the coming weeks.
