On Friday, young Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike made the decision to turn down a transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt. However, he also turned down another potential move.

Hugo Ekitike will stay at PSG this season, but he could have left. He was highly sought after, with a preference for a transfer or loan to the Premier League, where West Ham and Crystal Palace expressed interest in him.

Another potential move that could have materialized was from Zenit Saint Petersburg, which reportedly made a last-minute offer, as reported by L’Equipe.

The Russian club even presented a verbal offer reaching the impressive sum of 40 million euros to acquire the services of the young Frenchman. However, the player reportedly declined the offer and remains under contract with PSG until June 2027.

With the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani, competition for playing time at PSG is expected to be fierce for Ekitike, who has seen limited playing time.
