PSG Set to Spend a Fortune on Yan Diomandé

Paris Saint-Germain may be preparing another huge move in the transfer market. Yan Diomandé, the 19-year-old RB Leipzig forward, is said to be very close to joining the Parisian club. But to complete the deal, Paris will have to dig deep into its pockets.

Yan Diomandé has given his agreement to PSG. From RMC Sport to Fabrizio Romano, the information has been confirmed. Under contract with Leipzig until 2030, the Ivory Coast international is considered one of the most exciting attacking talents of the moment. PSG want to move quickly and hope to reach an agreement as soon as possible. The problem is that the German club has no intention of offering any discount.

Leipzig Demands More Than €100 Million

According to Fabrizio Romano, talks are indeed underway between PSG and RB Leipzig for Yan Diomandé. But the price set by the German club is enormous: more than €100 million for an immediate transfer.

Another option does exist, however. Leipzig would reportedly be willing to lower its demands if PSG agree to leave Diomandé in Germany on loan for one season. That formula would allow Paris to plan for the future while slightly reducing the cost of the operation.

But PSG’s position appears clear: the club wants to bring the player in as quickly as possible. If the capital club insists on an immediate transfer, it will therefore have to pay a very high price. Another sign that Paris is ready to invest heavily to build its attack for the future.
