The Real Madrid management seems to have taken a step back from closely monitoring the situation at PSG.

According to Marca, the Spanish giants are not overly concerned about the ongoing developments in Paris. “The Madrid executives are continuing on their path. They are not paying attention to what’s happening in Paris. The future will not be compromised by the decisions of the Frenchman [Mbappé] or Erling Haaland,” the report states.

In essence, Real Madrid might not be pursuing either Mbappé or Haaland in the upcoming season or even the following ones. “The approach now is to proceed with true independence from Mbappé. If there’s an opportunity in a few months, they will try. Meanwhile, the Madrid executives remain convinced that nothing significant will happen before September 1st (there’s much to be said), neither with the PSG forward nor with any other footballer,” Marca affirms.

The Real Madrid leadership believes that the club can continue its course without the presence of either player. “Endrick [presumably referring to a potential signing] is on the way, along with other possible additions that will bolster a young team, one with both present and future prospects. The club comes first,” Marca concludes.
