Paris Saint-Germain are not expected to pursue a move for Michael Olise this summer. Despite a long-standing interest in the French international, the club’s hierarchy has decided to focus on other attacking profiles instead.
PSG will not attempt to sign Michael Olise—not because a deal would be impossible, but because it is a sporting decision made by Luis Enrique and his coaching staff. According to L’Équipe, the Parisian club still rates the Bayern Munich winger very highly and is looking for a player with similar qualities. However, the club has no intention of submitting an offer in the coming weeks, with the newspaper describing the transfer as a potential “nightmare.”
PSG Focuses on Alternative Attacking Targets
PSG’s interest in Olise dates back to his time at Crystal Palace, when the club made concrete efforts to convince him to move to Paris. The French winger ultimately declined the proposal and instead chose Bayern Munich, which had always been his preferred destination. Since arriving in Germany, his impressive performances have significantly increased his market value.
Although PSG now have the financial resources to make an attractive offer following the departures of Gonçalo Ramos and Kang-in Lee, the club prefers to invest those funds elsewhere. Maghnes Akliouche and Yan Diomandé are reportedly among the main attacking priorities. Luis Enrique is expected to continue relying on Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Désiré Doué, leaving little room in the squad for Michael Olise.
