“Go PSG… or not” : Kingsley Coman teases Paris!

Kingsley Coman, the man who denied PSG their first Champions League title in 2020, will not be on the pitch at the Parc des Princes this Tuesday evening. But he has a favorite. And it’s not Paris…

Having moved to Al-Nassr, the French international has already chosen his side. “Now that I no longer play for Bayern, I will say: Allez Paris,” he says jokingly, before correcting himself: “Oh no. I have more friends at Bayern than at PSG, so I will be supporting Bayern on Tuesday. I spent so much time in Munich… Of course, I was trained in Paris, it’s my heart club. But I played ten seasons at Bayern… so I had to detach myself a bit from that.”

Kingsley Coman has indeed played much more at Bayern Munich than at PSG, where he was trained: 339 matches and 20 trophies: “Of course I have that love for PSG, but when you have spent so much time in a team like Bayern, you create bonds… I have maintained more connections in Munich than at PSG. For all these reasons, I will support Bayern, but if PSG wins, I will still be happy!”

The tormentor of PSG

However, he was a PSG supporter against Inter in the Champions League final last May. “I was in Munich for the final against Inter Milan… When they scored, I applauded.” He even congratulated Presnel Kimpembe after the match.

And his famous header in the 2020 final? “The supporters half-hate me because I scored against PSG in the final (…) Some still blame me for that goal. So when they beat Inter, I thought: That’s it, it’s in the past.” The label of tormentor now belongs to history.
