Paris Saint-Germain are the 2026 French champions! In a fiery atmosphere at Bollaert, Luis Enrique’s men suffered for large parts of the match before punishing Lens with ruthless efficiency. A 2-0 victory thanks to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Mbaye, but above all thanks to a colossal Matvey Safonov between the Parisian posts.

TOPS

Safonov frustrates Lens, Kvara decisive once again. Matvey Safonov: the Russian wall. Without him, PSG would probably have collapsed at Bollaert. Huge saves against Édouard, Saïd, Sima and Sangaré. He completely disgusted Lens all night long. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: the man for the big occasions. One chance, one goal. Calm, clinical and always capable of changing a match under pressure.

Dembélé was unstoppable in phases of the game. His movement everywhere on the pitch constantly troubled Lens, and his assist for the opening goal was magnificent. Mbaye also made the perfect impact off the bench. The Paris academy product sealed the night in style with a stunning finish into the top corner after a lightning-fast counterattack led by Doué.

FLOPS

PSG struggled badly in possession. Paris had enormous difficulties playing out from the back against Lens’ pressing for more than an hour. Barcola was too quiet in a match that seemed ideal for quick transitions, creating very little before being substituted. Despite winning the title, PSG often looked overwhelmed by the rhythm imposed by Lens. Without an outstanding Safonov, the night could have ended very differently. But in the end, PSG leave Bollaert with what matters most: a 14th French league title and huge confidence ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal.
