PSG vs Brest (1-0): Doué Rescues a Nervous Paris, PSG Player Ratings

Paris Saint-Germain did what mattered most in their final home game at the Parc des Princes with a narrow but deserved win against Stade Brestois 29 (1-0). Frustrated for a long time by Brest’s defensive block, Luis Enrique’s men finally found the breakthrough thanks to a superb strike from Désiré Doué in the 82nd minute.

With this victory, Paris have all but secured the Ligue 1 title. At the same time, Lille climbed to third place after beating Monaco, while Marseille moved ahead of Monaco into sixth. Nice, defeated by Auxerre, dropped into the relegation playoff spot.

Doué Changes the Game for PSG

Despite heavily rotating the squad ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal FC, PSG dominated the match from start to finish with nearly 80% possession in the first half. Brest held firm for a long time thanks to a compact defense and a solid Coudert, but the introductions of Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé and Doué completely changed the rhythm of the game.

The Parc des Princes erupted on several occasions: a massive strike from Mayulu that hit the crossbar, multiple dangerous runs from Lee Kang-In, and especially Doué’s rocket into the side netting that gave Paris the victory in the closing minutes.

Renato Marin – 6.5/10
Rarely tested but reliable. A good intervention against Doumbia and a reassuring save from Magnetti. A clean performance from the young goalkeeper.

Mayulu – 8/10
The biggest surprise of the night. Deployed at right-back, he was excellent offensively and showed a lot of personality. A huge shot onto the crossbar and several dangerous crosses. Very promising.

Zabarnyi – 7/10
Solid in duels, especially against Ajorque. Good reading of the game and very few mistakes. A serious display.

Marquinhos – 7/10
The leader at the back. Always well-positioned, calm in possession and invaluable in guiding the younger players around him.

Lucas Hernandez – 6.5/10
Active on his flank with a powerful shot in the first half. Defensively solid even if he contributed less after the break.

Fabian Ruiz – 7/10
PSG’s true orchestrator tonight. Touched plenty of balls, brought rhythm and technical control. Key to Paris’ dominance.

Beraldo – 6/10
Used in midfield, he delivered a decent performance. Some useful recoveries but less influential going forward.

Dro – 6.5/10
Technically very interesting. Created a good chance for himself and showed quality in tight spaces. A promising talent.

Lee Kang-In – 7/10
PSG’s liveliest attacking player in the first half. Dribbling, direct runs and creativity. His substitution was surprising given his activity.

Gonçalo Ramos – 5.5/10
Worked hard but lacked efficiency in the box. Missed a big header and wasted several good situations.

Bradley Barcola – 5/10
Fairly quiet despite a few bursts of pace. He struggled to make a real impact.

Substitutes

Désiré Doué – 8/10
A decisive impact off the bench. Full of energy and scored a magnificent winning goal. Another game where he changed everything for PSG.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – 7/10
His introduction immediately brought danger. His dribbling, crosses and accelerations put Brest under pressure.

Ousmane Dembélé – 6.5/10
Some interesting combinations with Kvara and plenty of pace. He played a major role in PSG’s late surge.
