Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League triumph does not only bring immense sporting prestige to the French club. It also represents a massive financial windfall. Thanks to their European campaign, crowned by a final victory over Arsenal, PSG is set to receive nearly €150 million from UEFA.
In total, the European champions are expected to earn exactly €149.9 million in competition-related revenue. This figure includes the participation fee for the league phase, performance bonuses, as well as income generated from broadcasting rights and UEFA marketing distributions.
How PSG Earned Its Record Revenue
Participation in the competition brought PSG approximately €18.62 million, while their results during the league phase generated an additional €18.7 million. The club then accumulated qualification bonuses at every stage: €1 million for the play-offs, €11 million for reaching the Round of 16, €12.5 million for the quarter-finals, €15 million for the semi-finals, and €18.5 million for qualifying for the final.
The victory over Arsenal also secured an extra €6.5 million, while qualification for the UEFA Super Cup already guarantees another €4 million. On top of that, PSG will receive around €34 million through UEFA’s new broadcasting rights and marketing revenue distribution system.
However, the €149.9 million figure represents only part of the total earnings generated by this historic campaign. Matchday revenue, commercial income, sponsor bonuses, and merchandise sales are not included in this calculation. Ultimately, PSG’s European success could generate well over €180 million and may even approach the symbolic €200 million mark.
