According to the Spanish press, an altercation occurred after PSG’s victory over Barça in the corridors of Barcelona’s Montjuïc stadium.
Following their qualification against FC Barcelona (2-3, 4-1) in the Champions League quarter-finals, Paris Saint-Germain players expressed their joy on the field of the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium. Some allegedly taunted with “too easy.”
But the disagreement reportedly continued in the tunnel leading to the locker rooms: Kylian Mbappé is said to have teased the Catalan players. According to Mundo Deportivo, he allegedly stated in Spanish: “It’s on the field that football is decided.”
Mbappé’s reaction sparked anger among the Barça players: “insults, shouts, and shoving” took place between players. Over 60 people were reportedly involved in the incident, but the players and other individuals involved were separated before it escalated.
