Victor Wembanyama, the French basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs, has emerged as a devoted Paris Saint-Germain supporter, showcasing the club’s growing global renown.
During a press conference, the player, often nicknamed “the alien” due to his imposing height of 7 feet 4 inches, expressed his allegiance to PSG, stating that it is his favorite football team.
When asked about his relationship with teammate Jeremy Sochan, an Arsenal fan, Wembanyama jokingly remarked, “Yes, we sometimes talk about football. My team is PSG, of course! But yes, Jeremy was probably the first to welcome me to the Spurs, even before I was drafted. I played against him a long time ago”.
“So, yes, we’ve known each other for a long time and get along well, but it’s a shame he’s an Arsenal supporter (laughs)!”
