Ferran Torres: PSG Go All In

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly not given up on signing Ferran Torres. Linked with a move to the French capital for several days, the 26-year-old forward remains one of PSG’s top transfer priorities. Despite the absence of a concrete agreement, Paris are said to be confident about the outcome of the deal.

Under contract with FC Barcelona until 2027, the Spain international is one of PSG’s two main attacking targets alongside Maghnes Akliouche. An agreement has reportedly already been reached with the AS Monaco winger, while the Parisian hierarchy now hope to step up their pursuit of Torres.

PSG Prepare a Major Offensive for Torres

According to Sport, PSG are expected to improve their financial offer very soon before launching a serious bid to Barcelona. The objective is to quickly find common ground and complete the transfer in the coming days. Initial contact was reportedly made after Gonçalo Ramos was sold to AC Milan, with Luis Enrique particularly interested in the profile of his former player, who can operate centrally or on either wing.

Torres is believed to be receptive to PSG’s interest and open to leaving Barcelona for a project where he could play an important role. Paris are reportedly prepared to offer him a four-year contract with a salary higher than his current earnings in Catalonia. Barcelona still want to keep him and could offer an extension from September, although on less attractive financial terms.

Luis Enrique’s presence could prove decisive. Torres knows the Spanish coach’s methods well, and Enrique would like to use him as an additional option at centre-forward. The final decision will rest with the player, but PSG are said to be highly optimistic that his desire for a new challenge and the opportunity to reunite with Luis Enrique could swing the deal in their favour.
