Paris Saint-Germain has been warned: signing Mateus Fernandes will not come cheap. The 21-year-old Portuguese midfielder is among the players being monitored by the French champions as they look to strengthen their midfield this summer.
PSG is eager to add another Portuguese talent to its squad. Mateus Fernandes has reportedly become a priority target for Luis Enrique and Luis Campos. However, securing his signature will be far from easy. According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham has set an initial asking price of £85 million, roughly €98 million, for the highly-rated youngster.

PSG is not alone in pursuing the Portuguese international. Manchester United and Arsenal are also keeping a close eye on Fernandes, who is widely regarded as one of the most promising midfielders of his generation.
Under contract until 2030, Fernandes represents a major long-term investment. His versatility, technical ability, and significant room for development have attracted interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.
After spending heavily to sign João Neves two years ago, could PSG once again invest massively in a young Portuguese midfielder? One thing is certain: with a price tag approaching €100 million, the battle for Mateus Fernandes is set to be intense.
