The Maghnes Akliouche transfer saga could accelerate in the coming days. Under financial pressure, AS Monaco must complete several major sales this summer, a situation that could work in Paris Saint-Germain’s favour.
Monaco need to sell heavily and quickly. According to L’Équipe, the Principality club must raise around €150 million through player departures to balance their books. After already collecting €41.5 million from the transfer of young midfielder Aladji Bamba to Newcastle, Monaco still need to continue trimming their squad.
PSG Prepare a Fresh Bid for Akliouche
In this context, Maghnes Akliouche is emerging as one of the leading candidates to leave. The French youth international remains PSG’s priority target as the Ligue 1 champions look to strengthen their attacking options.
According to L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain are expected to submit a fourth offer worth around €50 million excluding bonuses in the coming days. Monaco are hoping to receive such a proposal as they continue working towards their sales target. Although the two clubs remain apart in their valuation of the player, Monaco’s need for cash before the end of the transfer window could bring their positions closer together.
Luis Enrique has long admired Akliouche’s profile and his ability to operate across the entire attacking line. With financial pressure increasing at Monaco, PSG now hope that a deal which has remained blocked for weeks can finally move forward.
