Viktor Gyökeres is expected to leave Sporting Portugal next summer, as confirmed by his agent.

Viktor Gyökeres, aged 25, is the star striker of Sporting Portugal, under contract until 2028, and also a key player for the Swedish national team. Paris Saint-Germain leads the race for his signature. Gyökeres’ agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has hinted at the possibility of a departure, citing the uncertainty surrounding coach Ruben Amorin, who is rumored to be joining Liverpool.

“It will be difficult for Viktor to stay at Sporting if Ruben Amorin decides to leave the club. We had 8 proposals for Gyökeres last summer, and he chose to join Sporting for Amorim,” said the player’s agent.

Huge release clause

According to the X PSG Inside Actus account, the Parisian club will send a delegation to inquire about the player and potentially initiate negotiations. The player has a release clause set at €100 million. However, PSG wants a discount.

“The goal of the Parisian club is to be able to pay below the clause, the player, or to pay in installments. Luis Campos appreciates the player, and the good relationship between the two clubs could be a positive point,” this source writes.
