Playing against PSG is worse than going to the dentist!

On Saturday, Brest received a good local anesthesia: a 0-3 defeat against PSG at the Stade Francis Le Blé. After the match, Eric Roy did not mince his words, nor did he rest his gums, which must have suffered during the game.

With clenched jaws, Eric Roy. The Brest coach, a bit philosophical despite the pain, made a comparison that will go down in history: “It’s funny, I was at the dentist three days ago. I had a filling that came out. I can assure you that it is much harder to face PSG than to go to the dentist. And it hurts a lot more!”

At least the tone is set: against Paris, there’s no need for anesthesia; the suffering is direct. “I see my players chasing after the ball, I run with them, I suffer with them,” he added. In short, a collective scaling session at high intensity.

Brest tortured by PSG

And the evolution does not really reassure the coach: “A few years ago, we could still hope to exist a little. Today, it’s almost mission impossible. Even in preparation, I was thinking: what can I tell them to make them believe we can succeed?”

Roy at least managed to smile amid the suffering. A biting humor, almost… nervous. Faced with a PSG that changes players like toothbrushes but maintains the same abrasive philosophy signed by Luis Enrique, Brest mostly played the patient, lying in the chair with their mouth wide open.
