AS Roma must generate funds before the end of June to balance its finances, and one name is increasingly being mentioned as a potential departure: Manu Koné.
Manu Koné is dreaming of a future back in France — and not just with the national team. After an impressive season in Rome, the 25-year-old French international has attracted interest from several Premier League giants. Arsenal and Chelsea are closely monitoring the former Toulouse midfielder, who is regarded as one of the most promising players in his position on the market.
PSG Not Prioritizing a Move for Koné
However, Koné reportedly has a very clear preference. According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, the midfielder dreams of joining Paris Saint-Germain. It is a destination that has appealed to him for several years and one he sees as the ideal next step in his career development.
The problem is that PSG does not appear to share the same enthusiasm. Frequently linked with the French champions during previous transfer windows, Koné is not among the priority targets of Luis Campos and Luis Enrique this summer. Despite his qualities and growing experience, Paris is not expected to accelerate negotiations for the player.
Unless there is a dramatic change in circumstances, Manu Koné’s future may be more likely to unfold in England than at the Parc des Princes. Arsenal and Chelsea remain attentive to the situation, while the French midfielder’s dream of joining PSG currently remains unanswered.
