The transfer market is heating up around Bradley Barcola. At 23, the Paris Saint-Germain winger has reportedly become Liverpool’s absolute priority, with the English club already making major moves to sign him before the window closes.
Bradley Barcola appears to have made his decision: no contract extension in Paris, which would make a departure inevitable. According to Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool have opened talks with both the French international’s representatives and PSG’s management.
Liverpool Ready to Break the Bank for Barcola
Liverpool are said to be determined to complete the deal, even though negotiations are expected to be extremely difficult. The main obstacle is PSG’s asking price, with the French champions reportedly demanding around €170 million before even considering a sale. The Reds know that an offer of €100 million or €120 million would be unlikely to convince the Parisian hierarchy.
Barcola joined PSG from Olympique Lyonnais in 2023 for around €45 million, plus potential bonuses, and quickly developed into one of Luis Enrique’s most dangerous attacking players. After an initial adaptation period, he established himself as a major part of the Parisian forward line.
Under contract until June 2028, the French winger remains central to PSG’s plans, and the club would also like to extend his deal. Liverpool are nevertheless hoping to take advantage of the situation and pull off a spectacular transfer, but they will need to submit a historic offer to prise Barcola away from Paris.
