Ahead of their 4-1 victory against AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain announced a wave of contract extensions. The club secured deals for young talents Yoram Zague, Ibrahim Mbaye, and Naoufel El Hannach, alongside key first-team players Achraf Hakimi (2029), Vitinha (2029), and Nuno Mendes (2030). Head coach Luis Enrique also extended his contract until 2027.

Among them, Achraf Hakimi, the 26-year-old Moroccan full-back, put an end to speculation linking him with a return to Real Madrid, where he could have reunited with his close friend Kylian Mbappé. Instead, he explained his decision to extend his stay in Paris:

PSG, an ambitious project

“I think the first reason is the ambitious project we have here at the club. Then, there’s the style of football the coach is implementing—I really enjoy it!”

“And finally, there are still so many goals I want to achieve with Paris Saint-Germain. I also extended because I feel great in this team, and that’s why I always try to give my best for the club.”

Hakimi shared these thoughts on PSG’s official website, reaffirming his commitment to the club’s long-term vision.
