In the aftermath of Wednesday night’s Coupe de France match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Brest (1-3), Brest’s central defender, Lilian Brassier, is expressing remorse for his actions.

Kylian Mbappé was the victim of a serious foul during the PSG-Brest match in the Coupe de France. Lilian Brassier, the central defender for Brest, inadvertently injured Mbappé by stepping on his ankle.

While Mbappé managed to get back on his feet, he quickly headed to the locker room at the end of the match. According to RMC Sport, initial examinations have provided reassuring results regarding Mbappé’s injury.

“I feel guilty. I hope there’s nothing serious for him. It’s part of football. I wanted to intervene directly on the ball, but unfortunately, I missed,” commented Brassier to France Bleu’s microphone in the mixed zone after the match.
