Kylian Mbappé expressed his readiness to run a 100-meter race against former athletics champion Usain Bolt.

Present at an event organized by Nike and his foundation “Inspired By KM” on Sunday at a boutique on the Champs-Élysées, Kylian Mbappé discussed Usain Bolt, the world record holder in the 100 meters, who had challenged him to a race.

“Knowing that I inspire someone like that is really gratifying. I think he has also inspired everyone a bit, and each of you in this room has already gotten up in the middle of the night to watch one of his races. It’s mutual! I started admiring him before he did (…) Now, it’s nice and why not, one day, if we both have the time, do something fun. But I don’t expect much from the result,” explained the French international, as reported by Le Parisien.

Bolt: “Yes, I Can Beat Him”

Recently, Usain Bolt, the former Jamaican sprinter, holder of eight Olympic titles, was impressed by the speed of the Frenchman when he has the ball. “It’s difficult to have that quality,” explained the one who had attempted a football career with the Australian club Central Coast Mariners. “People may think it’s easy. But he has a special talent. Mbappé is very fast. Very fast with the ball.”

However, Bolt believes he is capable, at 37 years old, of beating Mbappé in a 100-meter sprint. “Yes, I can beat him,” he smiled.
