According to Bixente Lizarazu, a consultant for Téléfoot, Paris Saint-Germain faces a significant challenge in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Dortmund.
After being defeated (0-1) in the first leg, the French club will need to overturn the situation at Parc des Princes on Tuesday. According to Lizarazu, this entails the French champions raising their level of play and delivering a more convincing performance to hope to qualify for the final.
“What does Paris need to do? They may have approached this first match with a bit too much confidence. They have seen that Dortmund is a team with experience in European competitions and with qualities. Defensively, PSG will need to be stronger, especially to contend with Füllkrug and the qualities of fast attackers like Adeyemi and Sancho.”
“Dortmund will inevitably play defensively and rely on counters, so they will need to combat that. And then offensively, they will need to be much more precise,” summarized the former Bayern Munich defender this Sunday.
