Kylian Mbappé, the captain of the French national team, scored a brace in the match against the Netherlands.

Mbappé further cements his place in the annals of French football. The captain opened the scoring as early as the 7th minute at the Johan Cruyff ArenA. Mbappé later netted his second goal after the halftime break with an assist from Adrien Rabiot (53rd minute).

With a total of 42 goals for the French national team, he has now surpassed Michel Platini, a true legend of French football.

Mbappé is now just two goals away from Antoine Griezmann (44 goals), nine goals from Thierry Henry (51), and twelve goals from Olivier Giroud (54). He currently occupies the fourth spot on the list of all-time leading scorers for the French national team.
