According to L’Equipe, PSG is contemplating selling its captain Marquinhos, despite him being under contract until June 2028.

“Luis Enrique’s recent words seemed to confirm that PSG was counting on Marquinhos. He stated, ‘History tells us that few players leave PSG; those who do leave either have expiring contracts or the club sells them. I don’t believe this is the case with Marquinhos,'” However, according to L’Equipe, the future of PSG’s captain may lie away from Paris.

The sports newspaper reports that the management is considering turning the page by selling their captain next summer. Bayern Munich and two Premier League clubs are reportedly interested.

Since joining the club in 2013 from AS Roma for a fee of €30 million, Marquinhos has had an impressive start with PSG. However, it has been challenging for him in crucial matches since the 2017 “remontada.” With PSG having recruited Lucas Hernandez, Lucas Beraldo, and considering Leny Yoro for the next summer, they may be ready to close this chapter.
