Reports on Real Madrid’s interest in Kylian Mbappé are contradictory.

According to Marca, Real Madrid is not eager to beg Kylian Mbappé to join. The arrival of Mbappé, alongside Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, has become more of a luxury than an absolute necessity, as the Spanish newspaper states.

However, speaking anonymously, a source told L’Equipe that club president Florentino Pérez is rather fixated on Mbappé.

“If Florentino has to make an excessive effort for a player, he will only do it for Mbappé. It’s his obsession,” a member of the Madrid club shared with L’Equipe. The sports daily points out that the captain of the French national team will still need to lower his current salary (€70 million gross per year) to sign with the Merengue.

PSG and the Mbappé camp are scheduled to meet again in early November and December to continue negotiations. PSG is determined not to let Mbappé become a free agent in January, so things are expected to accelerate in this matter. It’s also mentioned that Kylian Mbappé is very pleased with the recruits PSG has made this year and is satisfied that certain promises regarding team strengthening have been fulfilled.
