Victor Osimhen, the 25-year-old Nigerian striker currently playing for Napoli, is at the center of attention in the summer transfer market. Several European giants are ready to go all out to secure his services. But there may not be an agreement with PSG yet.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are poised to activate the €120 million release clause to secure Osimhen’s transfer. This colossal sum reflects the value that clubs place on the player.

In the event of failure in the pursuit of Osimhen, Chelsea is considering exploring other options. The London club could turn to Viktor Gyökeres or Ivan Toney to strengthen their squad, according to information from transfer journalist Ekrem Konur.

Victor Osimhen won’t say no

However, despite the speculation, there are still uncertainties about the player’s final destination. While the Italian press announces a possible imminent agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, the information is contradictory. Il Mattino reports that discussions are advanced with PSG, mentioning a 4-year contract with an annual salary of €13 million, along with the payment of the release clause. But Le Parisien categorically denies these rumors, stating that Osimhen is not on the verge of joining PSG.

On the other hand, Foot Mercato provides clarifications. “As it stands, Victor Osimhen is not close to joining PSG. Doha prioritizes other positions for the summer transfer window and has no plans to part ways with Gonçalo Ramos / Randal Kolo Muani next summer. If Paris decides to speed up, the striker won’t say no,” explains FM journalist Santi Aouna on X.
