Bernardo Silva will not sign with FC Barcelona, according to a Spanish journalist closely associated with the Catalan club, but PSG sees a new competitor emerging.

Bernardo Silva, the 29-year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder or winger, contracted with Manchester City until 2026, is unlikely to join FC Barcelona after all. This Friday, journalist Lu Martín stated on the program Què T’hi Jugues that the Portuguese international already knows he won’t be going to Barça.

This confidant of Pep Guardiola and the club revealed: “Bernardo Silva knows he won’t be coming to Barça. He has already stated that he won’t be living in Barcelona next year.”

Despite being frequently rumored to depart, could Bernardo Silva ultimately remain at Manchester City during the upcoming summer transfer window? Despite persistent interest from FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, a new source, Catalunya Radio, reveals that Bayern Munich has also entered the race to sign the Portuguese attacking midfielder. This reversal may come as a surprise, considering the abundance of talent already present in his position within the German club, such as Musiala, Coman, Sané, Gnabry, and Zaragoza. It is worth noting that the former AS Monaco player, contractually tied to Manchester City until June 2026, has a release clause set at €58 million.

However, Manchester City will not negotiate the departure of their player, under contract until 2026. In other words, PSG will have to pay the €58 million release clause.
