The Gianluigi Donnarumma saga drags on in Paris. The Italian goalkeeper, signed from AC Milan in 2021 and under contract until 2026, has rejected the latest extension offer from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Corriere della Sera.
The new proposed deal — based on a lower base salary and performance-based bonuses — hasn’t convinced the 26-year-old. Worse, Donnarumma reportedly feels “offended” by the club’s lack of support during his rough patches last season.
Donnarumma “offended” by PSG
This has led PSG to take a firm stance: no extension, no place in the squad. Memories of the Mbappé power struggle still haunt the club, and this new standoff is eerily similar.
Meanwhile, both Manchester United and Manchester City are closely monitoring the situation. PSG is also preparing for the future, with Lille’s Lucas Chevalier tipped as the potential successor.
