Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of entering an excessive bidding war for Yan Diomandé. With RB Leipzig reportedly demanding close to €120 million for their winger, Luis Enrique is said to have decided against urging the Parisian board to match that valuation.
Is a move to PSG now over for Yan Diomandé? The player appeared to be heading to Paris after an agreement was reached in early June, but the deal has since stalled. The main obstacle is Leipzig’s asking price, which PSG consider far too high.
Barcola Remains Central to Luis Enrique’s Plans
According to Onze Mondial, Luis Enrique would rather continue placing his trust in Bradley Barcola. Despite the many rumours surrounding his future during the transfer window, the France international is still viewed as a key part of PSG’s sporting project. Bild Sport also reports that the coach is counting on Barcola for the coming season, while the club have begun working on a contract extension to secure his long-term future in Paris.

PSG do not want to reshape their attack at any cost. Although Diomandé is admired by the club, a €120 million transfer is considered excessive for a player who still has to prove himself consistently at the highest level. Barcola, meanwhile, has the full confidence of the coaching staff and the board, with his pace, dribbling ability and versatility fitting Luis Enrique’s style perfectly.
Paris therefore intend to favour continuity rather than give in to Leipzig’s financial demands. Unless there is a major change, PSG are expected to allow Real Madrid to continue negotiations for Diomandé and focus their efforts on extending Barcola’s contract.
