After months of doubt and a dip in form, Warren Zaïre-Emery finally looked like himself again. Starting — and captaining — PSG against Strasbourg (3–3), the 19-year-old delivered one of his strongest performances of the season, regaining control in midfield and showing real authority.
“I’m feeling good again,” he told Ligue 1+. “Going with the France U21s helped me regain confidence — touching the ball, playing forward. Tonight wasn’t a bad game. I’m enjoying my football again and I hope it continues.”
Proud to wear the armband, he added: “Being captain is always an honour. I’ll represent the team the right way.”
The crack is back
Zaïre-Emery also praised PSG’s resilience after coming back from 1–3 to 3–3: “It shows our character. We managed their pressing, even if we lost too many duels. The coach made perfect changes — now we have to be ready to win everything.”
Luis Enrique did not hide his satisfaction: “Zaïre-Emery? He had a very good game. We have a lot of trust in him.”
The message is clear: PSG’s midfield jewel is finding his rhythm again — and Paris may have just recovered a leader.
