It was a nightmare evening for PSG against Bayern Munich. Beyond the 2–1 defeat at the Parc des Princes, the Parisian side watched two key players limp off injured, plunging the squad into deeper concern.
Ousmane Dembélé, who started despite recent muscle discomfort, lasted only 25 minutes before coming off with a calf issue — a brutal setback just as he was returning from six weeks on the sidelines.
But the most alarming moment came just before halftime. After a brutal tackle from Luis Diaz, Achraf Hakimi collapsed, screaming in pain and unable to put weight on his foot. The Moroccan full-back left the field in tears, supported by the medical staff — a chilling moment for the entire stadium.
Hakimi facing 3 to 5 weeks out… or even worse?
After the match, Luis Enrique said he was waiting for medical tests to determine the exact severity of the injuries. But early indications are not encouraging.
According to L’Équipe, Hakimi could miss 3 to 5 weeks, making his return unlikely before early December — right before the Africa Cup of Nations.
And even more worrying information has emerged. Journalist Saïd Amdaa (Radio France / Le Mouv’) reported: “Apparently, the ligament is affected. The question now is whether surgery will be needed. I’m told he will be out for at least the first two matches of the AFCON.”
A troubling scenario for both PSG… and Morocco, who are hosting the competition at home.
PSG still silent for now
At this stage, PSG have not released any official medical statement regarding Hakimi or Dembélé. The club is waiting for Wednesday’s tests before communicating.
But with injuries piling up, a squad running on fumes, and an overcrowded infirmary, one thing is clear: PSG have entered a very turbulent period.
