While PSG’s squad is enjoying its summer break, the 2026 World Cup is set to generate major revenue for the club. FIFA officially confirmed a record-breaking club compensation program this week, with a total of $250 million to be distributed among teams that release players for the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

PSG Set for a Massive FIFA Windfall

With no fewer than 16 players qualified for the competition, PSG stands among the biggest potential beneficiaries. Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola, Vitinha, João Neves, Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, and Willian Pacho are all expected to take part. At $5,000 per player per day, the numbers quickly add up.

The rewards do not stop there. FIFA has also introduced a new compensation scheme linked to World Cup qualifiers. Thanks to the 131 qualifying matches played by its internationals, PSG is already guaranteed more than $309,000, or approximately €268,000.

The final payout could be considerably higher. Every player participating in the World Cup will earn at least $5,000 per day for his club, with additional bonuses tied to matchday squads and playing time. After receiving more than €3 million following the 2022 World Cup, the two-time European champions could surpass that figure in 2026 thanks to a FIFA compensation fund that has increased by 70%.
