Scott McTominay is already setting the transfer market alight. According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, the Napoli midfielder is being closely monitored by PSG, Real Madrid and even José Mourinho, who would like to reunite with him in his future project.
Scott McTominay to PSG? It would be a huge surprise, even a massive one, in this transfer window. At 29, McTominay is coming off two exceptional seasons. Pushed aside by Manchester United in 2024, the Scotland international has completely revived his career in Italy.
PSG are seriously in the race
A real leader in Napoli’s midfield, he played a major role in the title won by the club in 2025 and is coming off another impressive season with 14 goals in 44 matches. According to Il Mattino, Luis Enrique particularly likes his profile.
The PSG coach is looking for a player capable of bringing physical impact, intensity in midfield and a real attacking threat. His aerial game and ability to make forward runs are also said to be highly appreciated in Paris.
Faced with this growing interest, Napoli are trying to lock down their player and have offered him a contract extension until 2030, while his current deal already runs until 2028. McTominay has reportedly not closed any doors and wants to focus on the World Cup before making a decision in the coming weeks.
