Kylian Mbappé engaged in some provocative behavior towards the Brest crowd after scoring a penalty during PSG’s challenging 3-2 victory.
It was a rare sight to see Mbappé, who was seemingly irritated by insults directed at his teammate Achraf Hakimi, reacting in this manner. However, PSG’s acting captain on the day did not receive strong backing from his coach, Luis Enrique.
“I don’t like these kinds of things. It’s better to try and enjoy the moment, to think about everything around football and to give positive energy,” Luis Enrique stated after the match.
He did, however, concede, “I’m not exactly sure what happened with the supporters.” An explanation is expected during PSG’s training session on Monday, which might provide some clarity on the situation.
