Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) still hopes to extend Kylian Mbappé’s contract, and the player has two offers from the club. The decision is now in his hands.

The suspense regarding Mbappé’s future might not last much longer. Real Madrid is seeking a quick response, preferably before January 15. Meanwhile, PSG is preparing for the future with and without Kylian, and other clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United are also in the mix.

According to PSG Inside Actus on X, two contract options are on the table. One involves a four-year deal with an additional year as an option. Alternatively, there’s the possibility of a straightforward extension for two seasons. According to this source, Mbappé is not expected to delay the decision and won’t wait until May, as was the case in 2022.

L’Equipe adds, “Several meetings were scheduled this month between the two parties to try to make progress, or at least get more information about what’s to come. On PSG’s side as well, the desire is to resolve the situation as soon as possible and avoid prolonged uncertainty. Since last summer, the French champion has not ruled out the possibility of a departure. They are preparing Plan A with him and Plan B without him.”

“I haven’t made my decision yet (about my future), I haven’t made a choice,” Mbappé stated after the Trophée des Champions.

“With the agreement I made with the president (Nasser Al-Khelaïfi) this summer, regardless of my decision, we managed to protect all parties, preserve the club’s serenity for future challenges; that’s the most important thing. Let’s say it’s secondary,” he emphasized in front of the journalists.

“In 2022, I didn’t know until May. If I know what I want to do, why wait? It wouldn’t make any sense. The most important thing is really the titles; we have a determined and young group that wants to win trophies. My situation, no one talks about it within the club; it doesn’t interest many people.”
