Marquinhos has become the most capped player in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, joining Jean-Marc Pilorget, after the PSG-Clermont match.

Speaking to Canal+ Foot, the Brazilian defender expressed joy about this achievement and conveyed his desire to continue contributing to PSG’s success for many years to come.

If Marquinhos is fielded against FC Barcelona on Wednesday in the Champions League, it will mark his 435th appearance in PSG colors, making him the all-time record holder for the number of matches played for the club.

“At PSG, I arrived very young, I didn’t think I would play so many matches. I thank all the people I have met over all these years. It is an honor to reach this point, my future is always here. My future is in these colors, this shirt, this home. I still feel part of this club. Football moves very fast, but I hope to always be part of the club’s project, the coach’s and the president’s. As long as I am committed to the project, I will be very happy to spend my entire career here,” assured the Auriverde.

According to several sources, PSG is considering turning the page on Marquinhos by selling him next summer. Bayern Munich could be interested.
