Following Bayern Munich’s 3-0 victory against Hoffenheim on Friday night, midfielder Joshua Kimmich candidly addressed the rumors linking him to PSG in an interview with Sky Sport.
The potential move of Joshua Kimmich to PSG might be the surprise of this winter transfer window. The German player is reportedly the top priority for PSG to bolster the midfield and defense, which has been plagued by injuries and absences. Kimmich shared his thoughts on the speculation.
“I am solely focused on Bayern. For me, it’s not a topic at all in the winter. I think at some point, the club will approach me, and we will discuss it among ourselves, not with you [the media],” he stated to Sky Sports.
The trend seems to lean towards a potential signing next summer. PSG will have ample negotiating power as the German defender’s contract expires in June 2025. While Joshua Kimmich may consider an extension, discussions will only take place when the warmer days return.
