Ferran Torres continues to be linked with Paris Saint-Germain, but the potential move is still a long way from reaching a decisive stage. Although several sources have reported interest from the French champions in recent weeks, PSG have yet to make any concrete approach to FC Barcelona.
Could Ferran Torres become a PSG player in the coming days? The Parisian club have admired the Spain international for several months. Luis Enrique knows his former national-team player extremely well, while PSG’s management view him as a credible option to strengthen the attack. However, Paris are proceeding cautiously and have not submitted an official offer at this stage.
Barcelona Have Received No Approach from PSG
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona remain calm about the situation. The Catalan club have received no contact from Paris Saint-Germain, while Ferran Torres’ representatives have not informed them that the player wants to leave this summer. Barça would only consider selling the 26-year-old forward if he explicitly asked to depart. Otherwise, the priority remains a contract extension, although talks are not expected to begin before September because of La Liga’s financial fair play restrictions.

A renewal would also come at a cost for Barcelona. When Ferran Torres joined from Manchester City in 2022, the deal included an €8 million bonus payable if his contract was extended. This is another factor in the Catalan club’s financial calculations. From PSG’s perspective, the situation therefore remains under active observation, with no genuine negotiations between the clubs yet.
Paris are continuing to assess several attacking options to complete Luis Enrique’s squad. Maghnes Akliouche remains among their priorities, while Yan Diomandé is still being monitored despite strong competition from Real Madrid. Ferran Torres remains a credible target, but the case has not yet progressed beyond the preliminary stage.
