Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly moved quickly to activate a new attacking target after failing to complete a deal for Yan Diomandé. The French champions are now prioritising the signing of Barcelona forward Ferran Torres.
Following the setback in the Diomandé deal, Ferran Torres has emerged as PSG’s new priority—and he could be available at an affordable price. Paris do not want to waste any time in the transfer market. With Diomandé now appearing increasingly unlikely to join, the club’s management have reportedly decided to focus on the Spanish international as a credible option to strengthen Luis Enrique’s attack.
PSG Value Ferran Torres at €40 Million
PSG believe a transfer could be completed for around €40 million, a fee considered reasonable for an experienced player who remains under contract with Barcelona and can operate in several positions across the front line. Torres also has the advantage of already understanding Luis Enrique’s tactical principles, having previously played under him with the Spanish national team.

His versatility, intelligent movement and finishing ability could appeal to the Parisian coaching staff. However, the deal will depend on Barcelona’s position. The Catalan club may be willing to sell in order to raise funds, although no concrete negotiations have yet been confirmed. PSG would also need to convince Torres, who still holds an important role in Barcelona’s squad.
After refusing to enter a bidding war for Yan Diomandé, PSG could therefore favour a less expensive and more secure operation. Ferran Torres now appears to be one of the main attacking targets to watch in the coming weeks.
