Paris Saint-Germain have decided to change their approach in the transfer market. The French champions are now taking a particularly firm stance in negotiations and no longer intend to give in easily to the demands of players, agents or rival clubs.
PSG have become uncompromising this summer. This new policy has reportedly been illustrated by the Yan Diomande and Zion Suzuki cases. Paris want to dictate their own terms and now appear ready to walk away from a deal whenever demands become excessive or fall outside the framework established by the club’s management.
PSG Stand Firm Over Bradley Barcola
This strategy is especially visible in the Bradley Barcola saga. Liverpool are pushing to sign the France international, but negotiations with PSG continue to drag on. Recent reports suggest the two clubs remain far apart over the player’s valuation despite the Reds’ very concrete interest. Barcola has only two years remaining on his contract and his future remains uncertain, but PSG have no intention of selling their forward on the cheap and are demanding a huge fee to let him leave.
According to Abdellah Boulma, the Parisian hierarchy wants to send a clear message to its negotiating partners: both departures and arrivals will happen on PSG’s terms. The club are prepared to extend negotiations or even abandon certain deals altogether rather than compromise on their demands.
With just two weeks remaining before the transfer window closes, this tough stance could become one of the defining features of PSG’s final days of business. Several cases remain open, including Bradley Barcola’s, and Paris are determined to protect both their sporting and financial interests as much as possible.
