After gradually being integrated into the first team and sparking speculation about signing a professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the situation has taken a turn in recent weeks. Since his brother chose to leave PSG, discussions have been on hold, as reported by L’Equipe on Friday.
Meanwhile, other clubs are showing interest in the player, according to L’Equipe: “The fact that he’s been reintegrated into the squad shows that Luis Enrique values Ethan Mbappé as a player. A PSG enthusiast, he hoped to sign his first pro contract there, but discussions were put on hold the day his elder brother made his career decision. French and foreign clubs, mainly German ones, have shown interest in him.”
