Randal Kolo Muani has struggled to make an impact this season at PSG. Gonçalo Ramos appears to have edged ahead, but it also seems that Luis Enrique, the Parisian coach, isn’t giving up on his player. After Lorient-PSG, as soon as the final whistle blew, the PSG coach went to speak with his player.
Luis Enrique made expansive gestures, giving his instructions. But what did he say? In Friday’s press conference, the PSG coach discussed the moment: “Because I am the coach and I believe it is important to be by your players’ side when they need it. Randal Kolo Muani is a top player, a big transfer, but he is not at the peak of his confidence right now, and I am by his side.”
“I can only support the players when they are not at their best. I am very happy with Kolo Muani’s performances, but I believe he can do better, and when he regains that confidence, his performances will be even better.”
