As the PSG prepares to face Lens in its third Ligue 1 match of the season this Saturday, there’s news that Marco Verratti won’t be part of the lineup.

With the departure of Neymar and the injury to Lee Kang-In, PSG is in need of creative midfielders. Despite having Marco Verratti available, he won’t be included in the squad for the PSG/Lens match, according to Le Parisien. Verratti has been sidelined since the beginning of the season, as there is a possibility of him leaving the club.

Interestingly, Luis Enrique spoke highly of Marco Verratti in a press conference on Friday, stating, “He continues to work with the team. He trains normally. I’ve mentioned before that I prefer to keep private discussions. You’ll see on the field what I think. For me, working with Marco is wonderful; I’d give him a 10/10. He has an excellent attitude.” Despite these words, Verratti has not been called up for matches so far this season.
